Simple, elegant and guaranteed to never leak - for Life.
Introducing Custom Polished Concrete Showers brought to you exclusively by A-Team.
Guaranteed to never leak- for Life.
These A-Team originals feature:
Hand crafted polished concrete walls - polished up to 3,000 grit.
Shampoo/soap niches and a foot niche (for her- for shaving), all trimmed in Schluter Rondec with Rondec corner connectors.
In one example, we used creek rocks and concrete to make the matching shower floor and niches. The niches are polished to 3,000 grit to make the rocks shine brilliantly and the matching shower floor is polished to only 500 grit to maintain slip resistance. In another example, we bordered, scored and stained the matching floor and niches and back-filled with a black sanded grout. The design mimics polished concrete tiles.
The shower floor and all other horizontal surfaces are sloped to exactly 2% for very subtle yet effective drainage.
These showers, like our tiled showers, are available with a curbed entry or with a 0% entry.
420 stainless steel sloping profiles can be installed to accent the slope of the floor or omitted to conceal/disguise the sloping.
The movement joints installed at the bottom of the walls and at the vertical inside corner of the walls were color matched to the exact color of our secret blend of concrete mix. By using movement joints, there will be no cracking at the inside corner joints or at the shower base - ever.
Schluter Rondec as edge protection on integrated polished concrete baseboards, curbs and the outer edges of the shower walls.
A stainless steel Schluter Line Drain with a covered/closed, perforated, tileable or decorative drain insert.
An integrated waterproof ceiling inside the shower to prevent water marks from moisture and perimeter base waterproofing outside of the shower to prevent water damage from accidental flooding.
A matching polished concrete bathroom floor can be easily integrated, even if, over a plywood sub-strate.
These showers were built to "off the shelf" glass enclosure specs, eliminating the need for a glass company.
This is not panel work. These showers are hand crafted, in place and polished vertically. That is the only way to achieve breathtaking movement. -- Mack @ A-Team
